WAYS YOU CAN HELP YOUR CHILD AT HOME
***Here is a list of things that you can do to ensure your child's success at school and throughout his or her life***
1. Ask to see your child's schoolwork on a regular basis.
2. Create a special, quiet, well lit place for your child to study, read and do homework. It is ideal that he or she is sitting at a desk and not laying on the floor or bed.
3. Read to yuor child and encorage him or her to read to you.
4. Set a good example by letting your child see you read.
5. Be selective about what your child watches on TV. Set limits of one hour of viewing per day. AND, you do the same!
6. Praise and reward your child for accomplished goals.
7. Make sure that your child receives a good, balanced diet, including breakfast each morning.
NOTE- If you are running late, your child can eat breakfast at our school for just $2. Breakfast hours are from 7:00-8:15.
8. Make sure that your child gets to bed early and receives no less than 8 hours of sleep each night.
9.Notify the teacher and or school administration of any health or emotional concerns that may arise durint the school year.
Thank you!
