As
a part of our Social Studies Curriculum, Elementary students
(K-5) attend annual field trips to various sites utilizing
the history and culture of Indianapolis. The subject matter
determines which field trips are appropriate for different
grade levels. Some of our annual field trips include: State
Capital Building, Indianapolis Historical Society, Indiana
State Museum, IMAX Theatre, The Children's Museum, The Indianapolis
Art League, Madame Walker Theatre, Crispus Attucks Museum,
Indianapolis State Library, The Wheeler Mission, Indianapolis
Fire and Police Departments and Clowes Hall at Butler University.
Our students travel with the staff by chartered buses from
Ryder, "First Student" Transportation Services.
Field Trip Schedule:
June 20: Grades 1-4: Indianapolis Arts League
July 11: Indiana Police Youth Education & History Center
July 18: Grades 1-4: Historic Walk on the Canal
